🥔 Creamy Garlic Sauce Baby Potatoes
🍽️ Ingredients:
-
1 lb (about 500 g) baby potatoes, halved
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
2 tbsp butter
-
4–5 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 cup heavy cream (or cooking cream)
-
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, but amazing)
-
1 tsp dried thyme or Italian herbs
-
Fresh parsley or chives for garnish
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Boil the potatoes:
Place the baby potatoes in a pot of salted water and boil until fork-tender (about 12–15 minutes). Drain and set aside.
2. Sauté garlic:
In a large skillet, melt butter and add minced garlic. Sauté on low heat for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (don’t let it brown).
3. Make the creamy sauce:
Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Add thyme, salt, and pepper to taste. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.
4. Add Parmesan (optional):
Stir in the Parmesan cheese and let it melt into the sauce for extra flavor and thickness.
5. Combine potatoes & sauce:
Add the boiled baby potatoes to the pan. Toss gently to coat them evenly with the creamy garlic sauce.
6. Garnish & serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley or chives before serving. Best served warm!
💡 Tips:
-
For extra crispiness, roast the potatoes in the oven with olive oil at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes before adding to the sauce.
-
You can add a pinch of chili flakes for a slight kick.
-
Works great with grilled meats or as a cozy vegetarian main.
