🧄 Simple Garlic Knots Recipe
🍞 Ingredients:
-
1 lb (450g) pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
-
3 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
-
2–3 garlic cloves (minced)
-
2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped) or 1 tsp dried parsley
-
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional but delicious!)
-
Salt to taste
👩🍳 Instructions:
1. Preheat oven:
Set your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
2. Prepare the dough:
On a floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle (about ½ inch thick). Cut into strips (about 1 inch wide, 5 inches long).
3. Tie the knots:
Gently tie each strip into a loose knot (like tying a shoelace). Tuck the ends underneath if needed. Place knots on the baking sheet, spaced slightly apart.
4. Bake:
Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
5. Make garlic butter:
While knots are baking, melt butter in a small pan or microwave. Stir in the minced garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt.
6. Brush and finish:
Once the knots come out of the oven, immediately brush them generously with the garlic butter. Sprinkle with Parmesan if using.
7. Serve:
Serve warm — perfect with marinara sauce for dipping!
❤️ Tips:
-
Add red pepper flakes to the butter for a little heat.
-
Use roasted garlic for a sweeter, deeper flavor.
-
These reheat well in the oven at 350°F for 5–7 minutes.
